SUPER anime review #2 - Yuri on Ice

This post is about the SUPER anime Yuri on ice.  The main character 23 year old Yuuri Katsuki after a crushing defeat at the Grand Prix Finale, returns to his family home to contemplate his future.  Since Yuuri is 23 the window for success in ice skating is quickly closing, and his love of pork cutlets and gaining of weight is not helping him at all.  However Yuuri finds himself thrown into the spotlight when a SUPER video of him preforming the routine previously done by the SUPER five time world champion Victor Nikiforov suddenly goes viral, in fact Victor himself abruptly shows up to Yuuri's house and offers to be his mentor.  Yuuri being one of his biggest fans says yes, starting his journey to make it back to the world stage. The competition will be SUPER tough though as the rising star from Russia Yuri Plisetsky is determined to defeat Yuuri and win back Victor as a tutor. What will happen to Yuuri? Will he climb his way back to the top or will Yuri the star from Russia defeat him and win back Victor? find out in this Super anime.  The genres are comedy, and sports.
